A remarkable suite of jewelry from the original collection of the late Dame Elizabeth Taylor. This set was gifted to the most famous icon of classical Hollywood cinema by Michael Jackson in the later part of her life during their friendship and affinity to philanthropic causes. Seen wearing it at various functions during the late 1990s and early 2000, it was her conversation piece and she loved wearing it.
Comprising a necklace with a pair of pavé set diamond in white and yellow gold monkeys perched atop a bunch of gold bananas further joined to a group of diamond in white gold frolicking monleys along the entire necklace. There are gold vines, carved emerald leaves with a gold pineapple clasp.
The matching ear pendants feature two similarly set diamond in white gold monkeys, each grasping a bunch of gold bananas and hanging from gold vine with carved emerald and gold bananas. All the monkeys feature ruby eyes.
